We’ve had a little break since the end of August but it’s time to begin the Autumn/Winter tour. We have two gigs this weekend:

Friday 25th : The Drum & Monkey, Alderley Edge, 8 or 9pm
Saturday 26th : The Bowling Green, Northwich, 9pm

It’s the first time at The Drum & Monkey so we’re particularly looking forward to that. It would be great to see you there, ditto on Saturday.

September is late holiday month and both Vinnie and Spike have been away. I chatted with Spike before he went and we discussed his latest side project with Crazy Barista, his collaborative-solo virtual jazz/progressive/80s ensemble.

This music is inspired by a biographical concept and is based on the lifetime experiences of the Cornish owner of a surrealist ice cream van working the streets of Falmouth, Penzance and St Ives. The name of the album is A Duet Of Magna, an expression used when placing an order on Falmouth quayside by Gyles Brandreth, who was presumably on holiday.

Spike hopes this new music will be available in Spring 2027 with a tour of North Shropshire villages to follow.
